Connect Notion to bring deal plans, account notes, handoff docs, and other workspace context into Deal Brain. Notion is not required to use Deal Brain, but connecting it gives Deal Brain another source of deal context. After you link a Notion page to an opportunity, Deal Brain keeps that page synced as a deal artifact and uses it alongside your CRM, meetings, email, calendar, and Slack context.

How it works

Deal Brain connects to Notion through OAuth. During authorization, Notion asks you to choose the workspace and pages you want to share with Deal Brain. After Notion is connected, you can link specific Notion pages to specific opportunities in Deal Brain. Deal Brain reads linked pages, converts the page content into a text artifact, and attaches that artifact to the opportunity. If a linked page contains child pages, Deal Brain discovers those child pages and syncs them to the same opportunity as nested mappings. Notion page edits sync automatically. Deal Brain listens for Notion page update webhooks and also runs a periodic reconciliation sync to catch missed updates.

Connecting Notion

  1. Open the Connections page in Deal Brain settings.
  2. Click Connect next to Notion.
  3. Choose the Notion workspace you want to connect.
  4. Select the pages you want Deal Brain to access.
  5. Click Allow access.
Only pages shared with the Deal Brain integration are available to search or link. If you cannot find a page in Deal Brain, return to Notion and make sure the page is shared with the integration.

Linking pages to opportunities

Once Notion is connected, you can link pages from the Connections page or from an opportunity.

From the Connections page

  1. Open Connections.
  2. Expand Notion.
  3. Click Link Page.
  4. Search for a Notion page or paste a Notion URL.
  5. Choose the opportunity the page belongs to.
  6. Click Link Page.

From an opportunity

  1. Open the opportunity in Deal Brain.
  2. Add a Notion Page artifact.
  3. Search for a Notion page or paste a Notion URL.
  4. Click Done.
Deal Brain starts syncing the page after it is linked. The synced artifact appears in the opportunity’s activity and artifact history.

What gets synced

Deal Brain syncs the readable content from linked Notion pages, including page titles, headings, paragraphs, lists, to-dos, quotes, callouts, code blocks, table rows, and databases. Some Notion content is represented as a placeholder instead of being imported in full. This includes files, media, bookmarks, and embeds.

Permissions

Deal Brain requests access through Notion’s OAuth flow. The access granted to Deal Brain is controlled by the pages you select in Notion and the capabilities configured for the Deal Brain Notion integration.

What we do with access

  • Search pages shared with the Deal Brain Notion integration
  • Read linked page metadata, including title, URL, and last edited time
  • Read linked page content and supported child page content
  • Attach synced Notion content to the opportunity you selected in Deal Brain
  • Re-sync linked pages when Notion reports content changes
Deal Brain does not write to your Notion workspace.

Managing access

You can stop syncing a page from the Notion Page Mappings section in Deal Brain Connections. Unlinking a page stops future sync for that mapping. Existing Deal Brain artifacts remain in the opportunity history. To remove Deal Brain’s access to a page entirely, update the page’s connection settings in Notion or revoke the Deal Brain integration from your Notion workspace.

Troubleshooting

I cannot find a page when searching

Make sure the page was shared with the Deal Brain integration during Notion authorization. If you recently shared it, wait a moment and search again, or paste the page URL directly.

A pasted Notion URL does not resolve

Check that the URL points to a Notion page, not a database view or another Notion object. Also confirm that the page is shared with the Deal Brain integration.

A page updated in Notion has not changed in Deal Brain

Most updates sync automatically after Notion sends a page update event. If an event is delayed or missed, Deal Brain’s periodic reconciliation sync will refresh linked pages.

A child page is missing

Deal Brain syncs child pages it can discover from a linked parent page. Confirm that the child page is accessible to the Deal Brain integration and is still present under the linked page.
