# Tasks

> Review, create, and complete the follow-ups Tempo captures from your deal context.

A task is a discrete follow-up captured while Tempo processes your artifacts — a commitment made on a call, a next step from an email thread. **Tasks** is where you work them.

Open **Tasks** under **Sell** in the left sidebar.

## Work the list

Tasks are grouped by opportunity, so related follow-ups stay together. Each group has its own add-task action, already pointed at that opportunity.

From the list you can create, edit, assign, complete, reopen, and delete a task without leaving the page.

Select the source logo on a task to open the evidence drawer and read the artifact the task came from — the same drawer used elsewhere in Tempo.

Completed tasks are organized by completion date, so recent work stays legible without hiding what you finished last week.

## Filter

Filters persist as you move between **Tasks** and your opportunities, so a filtered view survives a detour into a deal.

## Tasks on an opportunity

An opportunity's detail view has its own **Tasks** tab, scoped to that deal. Use it when you are working one opportunity; use the **Tasks** page when you are working across your pipeline.

## Assigning to other people

Organization admins can manage tasks for other owners in their organization. Sellers work their own.

## Work with tasks in your AI platform

You can also ask a connected AI platform to list, create, update, complete, or delete tasks over [MCP](/integrations/mcp).

<Note>
  The MCP tools keep their original names — `list_action_items`, `get_action_item`, and `manage_action_items`. They act on the same objects the **Tasks** page shows.
