# Opportunities

> Browse your pipeline as a list in the Deal Brain web app, and see where artifacts are collected.

The **Opportunities** section of the left sidebar is where you browse your pipeline directly, as a list, instead of asking about it. It has two entries: **All Opportunities** and **By Stage**.

* **All Opportunities** (`/app/dashboard/opportunities`) is the flat list of everything in your pipeline. Start here when you want to search, filter, or scan across the whole set.
* **By Stage** is the same pipeline organized around stage rather than presented flat. Use it when where a deal sits in the process is the thing you care about.

Browsing is one of two routes to the same context. Anything you can scan for here you can also ask for in [chat or your AI platform](/using/getting-started) — "show me deals closing this quarter that have gone quiet" gets you a similar answer without touching a control. The list is better when you want to see everything at once; the conversational route is better when the question is specific.

## The All Opportunities toolbar

The page is titled **All Opportunities** and carries a row of controls across the top.

| Control | What it's for |
| --------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Find opportunity…** | Search box. Narrow the list by typing. |
| **Fields** | Which columns the list shows. Carries a count badge for how many are currently applied. |
| **Filters** | Which opportunities the list shows. |
| **Groups** | How the rows are grouped together. |
| **Create View** | Save the current configuration so you can come back to it. |
| **Import** | Top right. Brings opportunity data into Deal Brain. |
| **…** | Overflow menu at the end of the row. |

The columns you can show and filter on come from the fields Deal Brain syncs from your CRM. For what those fields are, where they come from, and which ones Deal Brain can write back to, see [Fields and CRM objects](/admin/fields).

## Artifacts

An artifact is an ingested piece of source context: an email, a meeting transcript, a meeting note, an upload, or a saved chat. Artifacts are what Deal Brain reasons over — observations, action items, and CRM field proposals all cite the artifact they came from.

**Artifacts** (`/app/dashboard/artifacts`) is the global page that collects them. When there's nothing to show, it reads:

> **No Artifacts** — There are no artifacts to display. Add artifacts from an opportunity to get started.

That last sentence is the structural point worth internalizing. Artifacts belong to an opportunity, so you add them from an opportunity — the **Add Artifacts** control on the global page is disabled while the list is empty.
