# Granola

> Connect Granola to give Deal Brain richer meeting context. Not required, but recommended for the best experience.

Granola is not required to use Deal Brain, but connecting it unlocks richer meeting context — transcripts, notes, and summaries that Deal Brain uses to take action on your deals.

## How it works

Deal Brain uses [Granola's MCP server](https://docs.granola.ai/help-center/sharing/integrations/mcp) to query meetings, retrieve transcripts, and retrieve meeting notes. This context is associated with relevant Opportunities, Accounts, and Contacts to inform potential CRM updates and surface the right information at the right time.

## Permissions

The OAuth connection is initiated by Deal Brain but is fully browser-based and handled by Granola. Deal Brain does not manage or store your Granola credentials.
